Meet Our Team
At Candon Hair Studio, our team blends artistry, heart, and professionalism. Co-owners Tehya Milburn and Darya Kasten bring together years of industry expertise and entrepreneurial vision to create a salon experience that’s both elevated and deeply personal. Tehya leads with 15+ years behind the chair and a passion for transformation, while Darya drives the business with a sharp eye for design and operations. Joining them is Kailee, a rising stylist with a decade of experience in men’s grooming and a fresh focus on full-service women’s hair. Together, they bring care, creativity, and purpose to every appointment.
Tehya Milburn
Meet Tehya Milburn, the master stylist and co-owner of Candon Hair Studio. A Washington native, but now proud to call Texas home. Tehya has been behind the chair for over 15 years and is a third generation hair stylist. Her passion in this industry is color, cuts, extensions, and epic transformations. She is an educator at heart and is excited to give back to the industry that she loves so much. Her passion truly is to make people feel their absolute best while being her creative self. Outside of the salon, Tehya is a proud mom to a 10-month-old, whom she shares with her middle school sweetheart.
Darya Kasten
Meet Darya Kasten, the Business Manager and co-founder of Candon Hair Studio. Darya is a serial entrepreneur born and raised in the Dallas area. With a background rooted in real estate and construction, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management from UTD. She brings over a decade of experience in business growth and operations, and is excited to channel that expertise into a more creative space. With a lifelong love for design and beauty, Darya is passionate about building a salon experience that’s both elevated and personal.
Last year, Darya and Tehya, long-term friends, shared the special journey of being pregnant at the same time. Darya experienced the heartbreak of a stillbirth, which is why the name “Candon Hair Studio” was chosen in honor of Darya’s son, and the salon now carries his name forward with purpose. In his memory, a portion of proceeds from all kids’ cuts will be donated to stillbirth research foundations—supporting greater awareness and healing for families everywhere. Darya lives in the Dallas area with her husband and is honored to be building something so meaningful alongside her closest friend.
Kailee Smith
Meet Kailee Smith, the newest stylist at Candon Hair Studio. Kailee got licensed about 10 years ago and has been specializing in the men’s grooming realm. She has recently taken the jump to women’s hair and is expanding her knowledge base to tailor to different services required in a full-service salon. Kailee is currently undergoing the training program implemented at Candon Hair Studio, which is required for all our stylists to pass. She has always been a natural talent and is excited to show Dallas what she is made of. Her passion in the hair industry has been and is driven by the ability to make others feel confident and beautiful. Being a hairstylist has allowed her to connect with people on a personal level while also being able to grow, learn and practice her craft every single day.
